Words to reflect the title, meaning behind the artwork, and reason for the release: Owner - Arturo Saucedo III
This season has been a hard one, it's taken us back to our roots - day 1 of why we started. If you're familiar with our full story this whole apparel thing came about from a time of loss - loss of a loved one, self, and identity. We're back fighting similar demons and this time we had to dig a little deeper. These 3 tees are a representation of this season and we have more concepts and artwork on the way so it will be an ongoing collection. Faith Destroys was born out of having nothing left in the tank but faith. Faith Destroys fear, guilt, shame, anger, sadness, and the list goes on. We wanted to create the first designs that came to fruition and didn't want to do the usual big collection, we needed them now to reflect the now but honestly we came really close to not releasing anything because of the difficulty of life.
This time of loss has made us realize life is precious, when the things of the world get in the way what do we really have left when they are taken. What fills the inside when the outside is gone. The design concepts are faith driven and we tried to convey the artwork in a manner that even someone without faith can understand.
The inside tags are our personal favorite and the artwork is something we're really proud of for the believer and non-believer. It's a concept where if you know what the words mean and come from then you get it and if you don't then the inside tag will show you where to find them. We believe to have faith means more than religion or a set of rules. How does your faith reflect who you are, how you treat the world when nothing is going your way, and how do you bounce back from rock bottom. The choice we’ve made is to Destroy ourselves, the old flesh that led us to this place, shedding torn garments, birthing a new wineskin. We may weather the trials but must punch through to build perseverance, character, and hope.
